Overview ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback. We’re looking for a driven and capable Assistant Manager - Cleaning to support the day-to-day operation of one of our remote contracts. As a Assistant Manager - Cleaning, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure seamless service delivery, strong client relationships, and a high-performing team. You will be a champion of safety, team development, and operational excellence. This a 7 day on, 7 day off role, working 11 hour shifts and is fully relieved. The candidate will reside locally or be prepared to drive-in, drive-out. Accommodation and meals are all supplied. The Position Assist with the management of daily operations Build strong client relationships and respond to requests for additional services Support, develop, and train team members, fostering a positive and respectful work culture Approve timesheets, manage leave, and ensure accurate payroll inputs Ensure full compliance with site readiness requirements including inductions, WAFs, and SOPs Maintain system access and Learning Management System compliance Promote and uphold Compass Group’s strong safety culture Proactively manage employee absences, performance, and grievances The Person Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a remote, hospitality, facilities, or similar operational environment Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams A passion for safety, training, and operational excellence Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities Flexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments Confidence using workforce systems and managing compliance The Benefits Paid parental leave Multiple salary packaging options to make your dollar go further Easy access to 100+ retail discounts Opportunity to learn new skills and move to different internal roles Above award wages A chance to join an ecologically and socially forward operation #J-18808-Ljbffr
