The Role You willbecome a part of a fast growing business unit with a broad range of clientsfrom a number of industries.The Private Business Family Advisory team not only conducts the taxation andaccounting needs of clients but provides unique advisory services and has aniche market reputation, providing unrivaled opportunities, and stronginteraction with all other business units with the firm. We have a flat linemanagement structure, providing easy access to multiple Partners, whilstworking predominantly for the team Manager.The successful candidate will take the job from start to finish and dealdirectly with the clients. We work across a broad range of clients includingASX-listed companies, large private companies, Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SME’s)and High Net-Worth Individuals. Key Responsibilities: Reviewsfinancial accounts, tax returns, business activity statements, instalmentactivity statements and other work performed by Intermediates, Graduates andCadets who work on their clients Prepares morecomplex corporate and company tax returns Solidunderstanding of Corporations Act, accounting standards, tax legislation andother research as they relate to the work undertaken Detailedunderstanding of company secretarial matters such as lodgements, fees andgeneral requirements Preparesand reviews complex fringe benefits tax returns Goodunderstanding of state taxes Preparescomplex individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns with limitedsupervision or direction Detailedknowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures (including assessment,objections, ect) Preparesand analyses management reports for clients (i.e cashflows reports, budget ect) Goodworking knowledge of GST, Business Activity Statements and Instalment ActivityStatements Preparesand reviews work papers, analysis of client data and transactions and settingup accounts onto the accounting package in accordance with present standards Preparescomplex financial reports from client data Carries outanalytical review procedures, including ratio analysis Ability toprepare well drafted, high level reports for more senior staff to review Preparedraft invoices to manager/partners at the end of an engagement Preparesand analyses standard management reports for clients Who we are after Here are the key qualifications, skills andpersonal attributes we’re looking for. The candidate will ideally be in their final stagesof completing their CA program with 3-4 years of experience within a businessservices division. We are particularly looking for: Reporting skills – a comfort inattending to all types of corporate, trust, super and individual accounting andtaxation compliance of a simple to moderate complexity, with minimalsupervision. Ideally experience with family officeand high net wealth passive wealth clients Ability to build strong relationships Problem solving skills – you will beable to demonstrate the ability to “think outside the square” A confident demeanor and the abilityto interface with clients, and earn their respect Strong attention to detail Our business is structured so that over the longerterm, you will develop your own career path and build your own job profile.
