MGC Constructions is seeking a proactive and capable Business Support Officer to take ownership of our HR administration while also supporting purchasing, scheduling, commercial administration, and general office operations. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy, with opportunities to travel to project sites as required. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves variety, and enjoys supporting people across all levels of the business. About The Role Working remotely, you’ll be the central support person for our office and site teams, providing HR, admin, and operational assistance to managers, supervisors, and project staff. You’ll help keep the business running smoothly by managing HR processes, coordinating training and compliance, overseeing onboarding, and supporting day‑to‑day operations across multiple areas. No two days will look the same, and that’s exactly what makes this role rewarding. Key Responsibilities Manage HR and People & Culture administration, including onboarding, contracts, compliance, and maintaining employee records Support leaders with HR queries, probation tracking, policy information, and general workforce coordination Coordinate staff inductions, medicals, site access, licences, tickets, and training registers Assist with purchasing, supplier communication, and commercial administration Support internal sales enquiries, prepare quotes, and raise purchase orders Assist with scheduling, rostering, site mobilisation, and timesheet‑related administration Maintain office systems, including SharePoint, registers, documents, and internal databases Manage incoming calls, inboxes, and general administrative tasks Provide administrative support to Supervisors, Managers, and the People & Culture team Contribute to internal communications, engagement activities, and culture initiatives Occasionally, travel to project sites as required for onboarding, HR support, or operational tasks About You You’re organised, friendly, and comfortable juggling a wide range of tasks. You take initiative, enjoy helping others, and work well in a busy environment.
