Gardeners and Landscaping Labourers – Darwin, Northern Territory Job Type: Permanent position | Casual position Job Description Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Casual Gardeners and Landscaping Labourers – Darwin, Northern Territory. The roles can vary and you could be tasked with: Some watering, pruning plants Keep nursery areas clean and tidy Unload and organize stock Perform general nursery maintenance and tool upkeep Mow lawns, trim edges, weeding planting trees, shrubs and flowers spreading mulch and soil Clean up work areas and remove debris For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift. Requirements: Ready and able to work long shifts (10 hours a day) Be flexible in your approach to work A great attitude with your work Be neat in tidy Be able to work alone or part of a team. Full training will be provided. You will be required to work an average of 30 hours per week. The term of work will be from February 2026 to February 2027. You will be paid either under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (MA ), the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award (MA ), General Retail Industry Award (MA ) or the Restaurant Industry Award (MA ) or Registered and Licensed Clubs Award (MA ) or Horticulture Award 2020 (MA ) or Nursery Award 2020 (MA ) or Gardening and Landscaping Services Award 2020 (MA ). The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Entry Level $30.35, Level 1 $31.50/hr up to Level 2 $32.50+/hr Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week. Overtime rates will be paid where applicable. Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks. In order to be considered please provide a cover letter.
