TITLE Infrastructure Operations Engineer- Manager What You’ll Do The Cloud Engineer II is responsible for driving the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and services that support the company’s global software platforms. This role translates strategic cloud objectives into operational execution, guiding cross‑functional initiatives and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance standards. The position influences cloud engineering practices and contributes to the development of scalable, cost‑effective, and resilient cloud solutions. Job Functions & Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms and environments. Translate strategic cloud goals into actionable engineering plans, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives. Develop and enforce cloud architecture standards, governance models, and operational procedures. Oversee the implementation of automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines. Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud technologies to enhance system performance, scalability, and security. Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, and application development teams to ensure cohesive cloud strategies. Manage cloud cost optimization initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and usage analysis. Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards across all cloud environments. Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning for cloud‑hosted systems. Provide technical leadership in cloud migration and modernization projects. Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and architectural decisions. Perform all other duties and activities as required. WHAT YOU’VE DONE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or DevOps roles. Preferred Master’s degree in a related field. Professional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer. Experience in leading cloud transformation initiatives in a SaaS or enterprise software environment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors: Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including multi-region design, high availability, and fault tolerance. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and service mesh technologies. Advanced scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, identity and access management, and encryption standards. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence. Effective communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with cloud trends and innovations.
