Senior Home Care Worker - Qualified 3 Permanent Full Time – 38 hours a week $35.97 to $44.92 per hour Salary packaging available About the role Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking 3 Permanent Full Time Senior Home care Worker for our Greater Brisbane Home Care. The service that we provide at Greater Brisbane Home Care is support at home, personal care and domestic support, nursing care, allied health support, after hospital care, respite care, social support and transport. While much of your work will take place in the community, there will be times when you'll contribute to planning and coordination from our office. As a senior team member, you will also be available for on-call support as the need arises, within a 6:30 am - 6:30 pm window and occasional weekend coverage to support backfilling needs, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care when they need it most. Responsibilities Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes Assist with medications and personal cares Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping. Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities. Encourage independence and well-being in a home environment. Participate in the review of client care plans, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate Train and mentor Home Care Workers What we're looking for Are you somebody who is passionate about delivering quality Home Care services to the local community? Providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. Our ideal candidate Is reliable, adaptable and has well developed communication skills Currently holds the below qualifications Certificate III in Individual Support or higher Assist Clients with Medication - HLTHPS006 Recognise Healthy Body Systems - HLTAAP001 Provide Individualised Support - CHCCCS031 Currently holds, or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR qualification Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check A current driver's license & reliable vehicle - Work cars may be available Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer sponsorship About Us We are one of Australia's largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with a legacy of care and compassion spanning over 140 years.
