Tasman Auto Electrics is expanding, and we’re looking for motivated people ready to grow into a Field Service Technician role servicing customers across Tasmania. Working from Launceston and travelling statewide on occasion with our mobile service units, you’ll diagnose, repair, and support a wide variety of modern automotive electrical systems for government fleet, off‑grid systems, marine electrical, heavy machinery, and more. Primarily servicing and repairing mobile medical devices in the north, north‑west and north‑east of the state. If you love problem‑solving, working independently, and building your technical skills, this role could be perfect for you. What You’ll Be Doing Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing automotive electrical, medical devices, marine, and heavy‑vehicle systems Preventative maintenance for workshops, fleets, and commercial clients across Tasmania Troubleshooting electrical and diagnostic issues across a wide range of vehicles and equipment including auto air‑conditioning Managing your own daily schedule as you develop confidence working independently Building trusted relationships with customers, workshops, and fleet operators Completing accurate job documentation, following compliance requirements, and upholding safety standards Working alongside experienced technicians who will mentor and support your growth What We’re Looking For Strong hands‑on technical ability and a genuine interest in how systems work Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn advanced electrical technology Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset Ability to travel statewide as part of the mobile service team A valid driver’s licence Relevant qualifications in automotive electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or similar fields Why Start Your Career With Tasman Auto Electrics?
