Casual - Broken Hill Job no: Employment type: Casual, Part Time Location: Far West & North Central NSW Categories: Disability, Mental Health About the role This opportunity presents a demanding yet deeply fulfilling prospect for you to make a positive change in the lives of people with disability. We are currently recruiting for our Lifestyle and Supported Independent Living (SIL) programs. SIL is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster. Lifestyle supports are one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required. Key Responsibilities Get involved in feel-good activities at home and out in the community – like cooking, gardening, and soaking up the sun Create a calm and supportive space with the ability to utilise de-escalation techniques Implement person-centred active support and behaviour support plans Support clients to make everyday spaces shine through domestic assistance Provide support with personal care, including bathing and dressing Ability to work sleepover shifts (SIL only) Skills & Experience A bright, upbeat person who delivers support with a smile, dance moves, and a joyful attitude Passion for empowering people with disability – supporting their unique needs, strengths, and personal goals Experience working with complex disability support needs including non-verbal, escalations and behaviours of concern Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates as per NDIS requirements Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NDIS and Working with Children Checks.
