About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our School community on a part time, fixed term basis for the school year. This role will be based in state‑of‑the‑art facilities and teaching spaces. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Learning – Languages and will be responsible for teaching Spanish subjects across Years 8 and 9 in a collaborative and progressive environment. Early career teachers will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Teaching Spanish subjects across Years 8 and 9, developing and implementing contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning, employing well‑developed classroom management strategies that enhance student engagement and outcomes, contributing as an active member of a collegial work environment, and upholding the ethos and values of the College. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Education Current VIT Registration Current knowledge of Australian Curriculum (Languages) Previous experience teaching language subjects (preferred). Applicants are required to supply the name, address and telephone number of three referees, two of whom must be able to comment on the applicant’s professional work or training during the past five years. A Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any person working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies of transcripts of qualifications claimed. The legal right to live and work in Australia is required, and any applicant outside the country must meet any entry requirements.
