Employment Type : Temporary Part Time until June 2026 Position Classification : Administration Officer Level 3 Remuneration : $71,072.43 - $73,287.41 + 12% Super Hours Per Week : Requisition ID : REQ Location : John Hunter Hospital Closing Date : Monday the 26th of Jan Make a difference in paediatric healthcare John Hunter Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Administrative Officer Level 3 to join our Paediatric Outpatients Department. This is a part-time, site-based role providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of outpatient services for children, young people and their families. Working closely with the Project/Operational Manager, and supported professionally by the CYPFS Administration Manager, you will play a key role in a high-volume, fast-paced outpatient environment. About the Role In this position, you will provide high-quality administrative support that contributes to the effective planning, coordination and delivery of paediatric outpatient clinics. You will be required to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, efficiency and a strong customer service focus. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and operational support to the Project/Operational Manager Assist with rostering and workforce coordination for outpatient clinics Action clinic set-up requests, changes and cancellations Manage and respond to clinic change requests via email Ensure timely, accurate and effective administrative processes in a high-volume outpatient setting Provide high-quality customer service to patients, families, clinicians and stakeholders Maintain records and systems in line with NSW Health policies and procedures About You You are an organised and proactive administrator with experience in an outpatient or healthcare setting. You have strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated experience working in an outpatient or healthcare administration setting High-level communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment Demonstrated computer literacy across a range of administrative systems Knowledge of medical terminology (desirable) Why Join Us?
