APAC eCommerce Lead at Global Payments Inc. Overview The APAC eCommerce product lead has the autonomy and support to execute the eCommerce product vision across APAC. This role is responsible for setting the tone for strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers and partners, defining the APAC eCommerce solutions and product roadmap, and leading the team to deliver. It is a crucial leadership position in the APAC product team, acting as the intersection between GP customers, country and region leads, technology teams, finance and third-party vendors. To bring this role to life, you will work across the product lifecycle with country leads and marketing to map market research (identifying trends and recommending new product opportunities), define product strategy, coordinate with technology teams to deliver, and conduct ongoing analysis of product commercialization and performance. Responsibilities Product domain: eCommerce Payments — Lead the domain across APAC, including a team of up to 7 members. Encourage and drive innovation within the product domain and organization. Mentor, coach and develop product managers and team members. Technical understanding of eCommerce card payments (settlement and authorisation) and third-party authorisation optimization. Experience with integration layers including shopping carts, plug-ins, SDKs and HPPs. Experience utilizing fraud solutions, including tokenisation; collaborate with the International product organization to determine a suite for APAC customers. Understanding of digital wallets, alternative payment methods (QR) and local APAC payment methods; highly regarded where applicable. Product strategy and thought leadership Subject matter expert for the domain, leading conversations with key partners and representing GP needs. Define the strategy for the product domain across APAC to address current and future customer needs, advocating for the user experience. Product development using methods such as customer visits, interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, use cases, and prototyping to determine what to build. Analyze competitive payments landscape using data and insights to drive solutions and deliver effective feature sets within APAC. Collaborate with the International product organization to incorporate global developments and export best-in-class solutions. Product discipline and ways of working Lead product teams that create well-defined feature definitions in line with the product development lifecycle; collaborate with agile teams across regions. Plan domain roadmaps; support product managers to create briefs and manage the regional backlog. Work with country managers to prioritize and deliver new product design, development, and improvements. Lead feature/design workshops to drive alignment and creativity in solution design. Own go-to-market approach for the domain and communicate upcoming releases internally and externally. Lead change management for product updates, ensuring understanding and buy-in across teams. Manage the product lifecycle, including end-of-life and withdrawal of products and features. Target state architecture Consolidate target-state process maps for the domain and deliver Target Architecture Model (TAM) with International product organization. Strategic vendor reviews to align TAM and commercial relationships with Global Payments’ needs. Design and articulate product placement for the domain; own domain outcomes and resolve product-related problems with stakeholders. Establish and manage third-party vendor relationships where appropriate. Drive commercial outcomes Lead the domain with a client-first approach and commercial mindset. Work with sales to build business cases for product funding. Collaborate with product operations to report on product performance to APAC leadership and country managers, informing roadmap decisions. Coordinate with finance, marketing, and sales to develop competitive pricing and sales/customer assets. Experience and Expertise 10+ years as a Product Manager with experience across full product design, development, and lifecycle management in hardware or software, ideally within payments, FinTech or eCommerce. People-first leadership of up to 7 people to support product development and delivery. Preferred Experience delivering products across APAC with understanding of regional payment requirements. Knowledge of working in an agile environment. Project management skills and familiarity with various project management techniques.
