Title Principal Mechanical Engineer, Water We support water customers across Australia to provide our communities with the best drinking water and wastewater treatment services, whilst innovating ways to safeguard and secure our country’s water supplies, elevating public spaces and enhancing livability. The Opportunity Sponsorship supported Locations open to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne (Australia) Relocation allowance provided You’ll be a key member of our National Water team who have secured projects that will change the way Australia operates forever. We are providing a more efficient and integrated water system to cater to the growth in services and maintenance of exiting assets. Our Water team offers services across the full water cycle, delivering major pipelines, large pumping stations, advanced water, wastewater and recycling treatment. We address critical water cycle challenges and provide solutions through adopting flexible program delivery models and ongoing asset management programs. KBR have significant work in hand supporting key water utilities such as Sydney Water, Water NSW, Sydney Desalination Plant, SA Water, Urban Utilities and Melbourne Water to achieve phased savings in capital expenditure, while delivering the best environmental and community outcomes. You will play a vital role in the water team and strongly contribute to projects, people leadership, technical direction, client relationships and commercial direction. Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects, offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere. Who are you? You are a design focused Principal Mechanical Engineer / Technical Director looking to relocate to Australia for an extended period. You will be motivated by achievement, outcome-focused. You will have previous experience with consulting to water utilities. You possess a pragmatic approach to the development of constructable design solutions and have proven commercial acumen in the delivery of water infrastructure. You are a Chartered Engineer in the UK or Europe Design consulting experience in water and wastewater treatment, plant and equipment, pumps, valves & project management You have demonstrated experience in the water infrastructure sector in a consulting environment. Proven ability to work in, and lead, engineering, and design modelling teams, work directly with Water Authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program. Who are we?
