We are seeking an Accountant to join our collaborative team. Key Responsibilities for Accountant Jobs – Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Manage general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for management review. Collaborate with internal and external auditors for statutory and regulatory compliance. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Provide timely financial reporting and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. Assist with process improvement initiatives within the finance function. Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation as required. Essential Criteria for Accounting Positions – Qualifications & Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and principles. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial processing. Experience with accounting software packages such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems. Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a dynamic accounting environment. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical financial practices. Desirable Accounting Skills & Experience CA/CPA qualification (completed or in progress) highly regarded. Experience in accounting roles within the transport, logistics, or stevedoring industry. Exposure to financial reporting in a multi-entity or international business structure. Knowledge of taxation, payroll, and statutory compliance requirements.
