Bupa Banora Point is a delightful care home set in a suburb of Tweed Heads in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. You’ll be close to the local community with shops, parks, schools and churches nearby. It consists of 103 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is to place our focus on the health, lifestyle and well‑being of our residents. Part‑time positions available to suit your lifestyle. Here’s what you’ll do: Be the fun facilitator: Help residents explore their interests, from art classes and gardening clubs to day trips and movie nights. Social butterfly extraordinaire: Facilitate games, bingo, quiet chats and foster a sense of belonging. More than just activities: Support residents with daily living tasks such as mealtimes and outings, and offer emotional support to those with cognitive or mental health needs. Resident champion: Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet residents’ needs. Team player: Work with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress and report concerns. Hygiene hero: Maintain cleanliness and safety by following infection control protocols. Catering crewmate: Assist with plating and serving meals, following food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences. What we’re looking for: A heart of gold: Your passion for enriching lives is the most important qualification. Can‑do spirit: You’re flexible, adaptable and ready for a challenge. Creative spark: You bring fresh ideas to make every day an adventure. Excellent communication: You build trust and rapport with residents and colleagues. Team player: You collaborate effectively and support others with a smile. Previous experience caring for elders in an aged care or community setting is essential. Current Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support, or willingness to complete it. First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one. Australian driver’s licence.
