About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cook or Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant team at Karvouna Greek Street Food in Black Rock, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Greek-inspired dishes to delight our customers. Our restaurant offers a relaxed and fast-paced environment, and this is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about food and hospitality. What you'll be doing Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality Greek-inspired dishes to our customers Charcoal Rotisserie, Hot Grill & Fryer stations Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Working collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service Undertaking general kitchen duties such as food preparation, cleaning and stock management What we're looking for Previous experience as a Cook or Kitchen Hand, ideally in a fast‑paced hospitality environment is preferred but not essential Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a busy kitchen A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high‑quality food standards & food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work culture Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and a passion for food and hospitality A positive can‑do attitude is a must, and ability to take constructive feedback About us Karvouna Greek Street Food is a family‑owned restaurant specialising in authentic Greek cuisine.
