Business Systems Specialist

As the Business Systems Specialist you will work with a small team to develop and deliver systems strategy to help the business achieve its strategic plan and organisational goals. We anticipate that the successful candidate will exhibit the ability to lead and in a short period of time manage projects and initiatives. Reporting to our IT Manager and based at our North Sydney office, you will be engaged, positive, and contribute to the workplace where everyone works to realise our established purpose, vision and objectives. Key Responsibilities Serve as thought leader for introducing or enhancing systems and technologies to automate and optimise efficiency and business productivity. Contribute to the overall strategic direction of applications and associated infrastructure. Work with the business to critically evaluate current systems and processes. Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes across the business. Partner with cross functional teams to develop requirements and process(es) for new business initiatives and transformation projects. Ensure documentation communicates effectively and concisely. Partner with cross functional teams to analyse and translate business requirements into design documents and work with team and external consultants to realise design. Support inter-system integrations ensuring the integrity of processes whilst pursuing automation and efficiency. Concurrently lead, prioritise and manage projects and initiatives from idea through to deployment. Evaluate and analyse overall efficiency and effectiveness of systems and processes. Develop relationships with partners and vendors to ensure the ongoing optimisation of systems and processes, presenting recommendations to senior management. Requirements to be Successful Degree in related fields or equivalent professional experience. App specific qualifications is an advantage. At least 5 years experience in corporate, business and management required. Experience / knowledge of enterprise scale systems - ERP, CRM etc. Experience with Power BI, automation and business tools or apps. Experience in a sales, distribution, logistics or customer service business. Ability to work with various stakeholders, meet tight deadlines and manage expectations. Excellent listening skills. Logical and analytical thinker. Ability to articulate both verbally and in writing complex situations. Collaborative team player.
