Overview Work on cutting-edge cloud data platforms in a dynamic consultancy environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join a well-regarded consultancy, delivering and optimising enterprise data solutions. This role is ideal for a data professional with deep expertise in AWS and Databricks , looking to work on complex, large-scale data environments while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a hands-on technical role , designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and platforms that are reliable, scalable, and secure. Base pay range A$800.00/daily - A$850.00/daily Key Responsibilities Design, build, and optimise data pipelines and processing solutions using AWS and Databricks . Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions. Ensure platform scalability, security, and performance optimisation . Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and technical guidance. Implement data governance and operational best practices to ensure reliability and compliance. Troubleshoot issues and provide technical expertise for incidents and problem resolution. Drive continuous improvement across tools, processes, and data engineering practices. What Success Looks Like Reliable, high-performing data pipelines and platforms with minimal downtime . Scalable solutions aligned with business and operational needs . Consistent delivery of high-quality, secure data solutions . Improved data engineering processes and team capability. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in an enterprise environment. Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services and Databricks . Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes , and modern data architectures. Experience with Python, SQL, and big data technologies . Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices . Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
