Multimedia Producer

Mahlab's Multimedia Producer will support the delivery of high-quality multimedia content for Mahlab’s publishing clients, with a primary focus on a large and reputable Australian Association. Reporting to the Content Lead, this role works closely with the Senior Multimedia Producer, designers and contributors to plan, create and prepare multimedia assets across video, podcast and social formats. This role is hands‑on, collaborative and developmental, offering opportunities to grow technical skills, contribute creative ideas and build capability across multimedia production workflows. A day in the life could look like this: Support end‑to‑end production of multimedia content, including podcasts, short‑form social video and long‑form video projects. Assist with pre‑production tasks such as scheduling, briefings, content preparation and organising production assets. Edit and prepare multimedia content (including video, audio, graphics and written elements) ensuring quality, consistency and alignment with brand and client guidelines. Support quarterly and monthly multimedia planning with the Senior Multimedia Producer and Content Lead. Manage file organisation, version control and the smooth flow of assets through the production process. Prepare and upload finished multimedia assets to required platforms, ensuring correct formatting, metadata and accessibility. Contribute ideas during planning and ideation sessions using awareness of platform trends and audience behaviour. Assist with content calendar management, workflow documentation and pre‑production materials. Review multimedia performance analytics and identify opportunities to improve formats and outputs. Conduct light research into trends, tools and emerging formats to inform planning. The ideal person for this role will possess: 2-3 years prior experience in a similar role. Strong content writing skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once with conflicting deadlines. A proactive mindset, ability to take initiative and eagerness to learn.
