About our partnership Stride, in partnership with Wellways and Clarity Health Care, will soon be opening the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre, with locations in Dubbo and Bathurst. About the service The Medicare Mental Health Centres, formerly Head to Health, are an important part of Australia’s reformed mental health and wellbeing system. They are supported by funding from Western NSW Primary Health Network through the Australian Government’s PHN Program. The Dubbo and Bathurst Medicare Mental Health Centres will provide the community with a free, safe and welcoming space to access mental health advice, supports and services. Walk‑ins will be welcomed, services are confidential, and no appointment or referral will be required. On offer Based in Dubbo or Bathurst, NSW – full‑time or part‑time, permanent opportunity available. Salary packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free). Role Overview Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based clinical care as a member of the multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers. Conduct intake and assessments, including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and provide brief psychological intervention. Requirements Must have one of the following:• Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse (General or Provisional)• AHPRA registration as a Psychologist• AASW registration / eligibility as a Social Worker (suited for graduate Social Workers wanting to build skills in the mental health field). Knowledge & Understanding Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence‑based interventions and clinical practice, as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use. Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills. The ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders. Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
