About this opportunity As an Occupational Therapist with the WA Country Health Service, you will plan, coordinate, and provide an occupational therapy service to a designated caseload of inpatient, outpatient and/or community clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to develop broad clinical and professional skills. The Job Description Form (attached) provides a full statement of duties. Occupational Therapy students in their final semester of study are encouraged to apply. Further information about this position This is an open-ended Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time/Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time/Part Time, and Casual appointments. This includes the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. The following must be noted: The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis. Interviews may not be conducted as part of the process, but applicants may be contacted if additional information is required. Referees will be contacted as part of the assessment process. If you are successful to the pool, you will be considered for all suitable vacancies across hospitals and health services in the 7 WACHS regions for the duration of the pool without having to re-apply for each individual position. You will be able to indicate your regional preferences and availability for positions. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/07/2026. Application Requirements To be considered for this role the following four (4) job requirements listed below must be provided in support of your job application: Evidence of an Australian occupational therapy qualification, or evidence of eligibility for registration by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or evidence confirming enrolment in the final semester of university. A comprehensive CV that summarises your experience and professional qualifications. A statement of 2-3 pages addressing the essential selection criteria, with examples to demonstrate your skills and experience. The essential selection criteria are listed on the final page of the attached Job Description Form. The names and contact details of two (2) recent professional referees. It is preferable that one is your current supervisor or manager. Additional Requirements Provide evidence of your Australian citizenship or permanent residency to be considered for a permanent position in the WA public sector. Undertake criminal records screening and integrity checks; this may also include referees commenting on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Completion of a satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA) and Working With Children’s Check (WA WWC Check).
