Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse Educator in Tasmania’s North West region. This permanent part‑time role offers the chance to shape the future of nursing practice while maintaining an excellent work‑life balance. Role Overview As a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Women’s and Children’s stream, you will lead innovative education and professional development that empowers nurses and midwives to deliver safe, compassionate, family‑centred care to paediatric patients. You will also serve as the Lead Educator for the RADIO (Recognise Acute Deterioration and Respond) Paediatrics course, an award‑winning program delivered throughout the Northwest of Tasmania to support district hospitals and any clinical area caring for children. Responsibilities Lead the delivery of the RADAR Paediatrics course and other education initiatives. Apply facilitation skills, learning and evaluation strategies in the clinical context to foster a person‑centred culture. Implement and evaluate professional development, education and training activities. Apply acquired knowledge to teaching, learning, quality improvement and research to achieve better patient outcomes. Qualifications & Experience High level knowledge, skills and clinical expertise in paediatric nursing. Demonstrated ability to evaluate nursing practice for paediatric patients. Strong facilitation and evaluation strategies in a clinical setting. Understanding of contemporary education, health and professional development issues. High level written and interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary context. Understanding of workplace safety, diversity principles and legal, ethical and professional practice standards related to nursing practice. Please refer to the Application Guide for pre‑employment check details. Eligibility Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications in education, clinical teaching and learning, or a relevant clinical/practice speciality. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (based on Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023) plus a 12% superannuation contribution. Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type. Salary packaging and a range of benefits including living expenses, meal entertainment, and eligibility for professional development and accelerated pathways. Leave entitlements: study leave, Professional Development Support, fitness passport access. Additional benefits: 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania, access to “Fit­ness Passport” for $14.50 per week per person. Appointment Details Multiple permanent part‑time day workers, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencement date flexible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
