Clinical Measurements Scientist - Clinical Measurements Unit Expression of Interest – Ongoing Opportunities The role is at Mackay Base Hospital and is a casual position. Your Opportunity Deliver routine cardiac/neurology/respiratory clinical measurement services within the Clinical Measurements Unit in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards. Develop skills to perform these services independently and undertake more complex roles in the provision of cardiac/neurology/respiratory clinical measurements services across two or more modalities as a multi‑specialist practitioner. About The Team The Clinical Measurement Unit at Mackay Base Hospital performs a range of clinical investigations including cardiac, respiratory and neurological diagnostic services. Staff are a resource for education and training and provide information to all levels and disciplines of hospital staff, students, and external agencies. Requests are accepted directly from medical officers for all inpatients and outpatients of the Mackay Base Hospital, from other regional hospitals and private external medical practitioners. The unit operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with after‑hours on‑call services required as part of a rostered service cover. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km² and provides services to patients and families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
