Disability Support Worker – High Intensity (Male) Location: Northwest Tasmania Employment Type: Casual (with a view to permanency) Positions Available: 4 About Us Devonfield Enterprises Inc. has been empowering people with disabilities to live independent, fulfilling lives since 1959. We are a leading NDIS provider in Northwest and Northern Tasmania, offering Supported Independent Living, Community Access, and Employment supports. The Role We are currently seeking male Disability Support Workers to join our team in high intensity support environments. These roles provide essential support to male participants who require assistance with daily living, complex health needs, and behaviour support. The positions are ideal for reliable, empathetic, and resilient individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact. Key Responsibilities Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care and support to participants in line with their individual support plans. Deliver personal care, behaviour support, and skill‑building activities. Support participants to engage in community, social, and recreational activities. Monitor participant wellbeing and report any changes or incidents promptly. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation. Work collaboratively with other support staff and allied professionals. About You Genuine empathy and commitment to supporting people with disability. Experience with high intensity or complex support needs (advantageous). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Resilience, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and sleepovers. Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain). Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID011).
