Overview Venue Supervisor role at Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) for The Glasshouse in Caulfield. You will oversee all areas of the venue to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, supervise employees during shifts, and assist with monitoring revenue targets and controlling costs. The Glasshouse is centrally located in Caulfield East, next to the train station and near Melbourne’s Caulfield Racecourse, home of the Melbourne Racing Club. The venue offers all-day dining and entertainment, and has been recognised with awards in the hospitality industry. Pegasus Leisure Group operates as part of The Melbourne Racing Club and has been recognised as a winner of The Australian Business Awards for Employer of Choice (2022, 2023 & 2024). What will my duties include? Supervise all areas of the venue to ensure smooth and efficient operations, adhering to company policies and procedures. Ensure employees are allocated to correct areas on shift and labour is well controlled and managed. Lead and support the team during shifts, providing guidance and addressing issues. Ensure staff are well-trained and motivated. Ensure that all health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements are met. The role may be fast-paced and require tasks such as lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods, and using stairs. What we are looking for Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA). Current Victorian Responsible Service of Gambling Certificate (RSG). Current Victorian Gaming Employee Licence. Food Handlers Certificate. TAB Compliance. Previous experience in a similar role. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage staff effectively. Strong interpersonal skills. Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Full working rights in Australia.
