Position Crane Mechanic / Lift Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on overhead cranes, side loaders and chassis stackers. Identify problems, perform inspections, run computerized tests, estimate repair costs, update repair records, and write technical reports. Remove and replace damaged or defective components; operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts and service trucks. Perform basic welding. Clean the shop area and perform stocking functions. All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner. Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Open availability (24/7/365) including nights, weekends, and holidays within rotation. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions. Valid Driver's License. Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry. Physical job requirements: frequent standing, walking, balancing on elevated catwalks, bending, grasping; occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting; ability to lift.
