Graduate Environmental Scientist – (Contamination Assessment & Remediation) – Tasmania We are engineers, scientists, designers, architects, planners, advisors, innovators and change makers committed to making energy, water and communities sustainable for generations to come. In Hobart, our Contamination Assessment & Remediation team is looking for a graduate with a degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering for a 2‑year Graduate Development Program, starting February 2026. Responsibilities Conduct field investigations, including drilling, well and soil vapour installation oversight Coordinate environmental monitoring (soil, sediment, groundwater, soil vapour, surface water) Provide field oversight of contractors Assist with field scope development, scheduling and budgeting Compile and interpret data for technical environmental reports Prepare reports for senior review Maintain safety training required for work on contaminated sites Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science (or equivalent) – graduate by December 2025 0–2 years experience in environmental consulting Strong interest in chemistry, soil, groundwater, contamination assessment and remediation Knowledge of contaminated sites regulation, guidance, protocols, and guidelines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong technical writing, data analysis and interpretation skills Valid full driver’s licence and comfortable with long‑distance and off‑road driving (training provided) Application Process Screening : Applications are reviewed as they arrive; no immediate response may be received.
