Job Title: Azure Engineer Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Employment Type: Contract Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Level Job Function: Consulting Overview We are preparing a response to an upcoming opportunity. If successful, we will be looking for two contract Azure Engineers to provide specialist cloud engineering expertise. The role will support the design, implementation, automation, security and operationalisation of the Department's cloud, endpoint and Azure environments. Responsibilities Accelerate Azure infrastructure and application deployments Improve automation and operational maturity Strengthen endpoint management and security posture Ensure operational readiness and documentation Support knowledge transfer and capability uplift Essential Skills & Experience Design and automate Azure infrastructure and application deployments Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for Azure services Strengthen endpoint management and security using Microsoft Endpoint Manager Ensure operational readiness through documentation and knowledge transfer Highly Desirable Skills & Experience Experience integrating solutions with ITSM and monitoring tools Proven ability to lead technical workshops and transition activities Contract Details Start date: early February 2026 (subject to confirmation) Initial contract length: 12 months with the possibility of two further 12‑month extensions Current AGSVA security clearance required How to Apply Submit your CV and a one‑page pitch (maximum 5000 characters) addressing the specified criteria.
