Role Overview Position: Biological Research Evaluator – Contract, Remote Commitment: 10–20 hours weekly, potential to scale to 40 hours Duration: Initial commitment of 1–2 months, with opportunities for extension Mission: Test AI models' ability to understand and mitigate failures in biological research protocols. Responsibilities Evaluate the capabilities of AI models in the field of biology. Test models' understanding of potential failures in biological research protocols. Identify ways to mitigate issues in biological research methodologies. Collaborate with AI labs to develop a state-of-the-art benchmark for model evaluation. Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and contribute to AI model performance improvement. Requirements / Qualifications Must-Have Qualifications Current Ph.D. student or higher degree (e.g., Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or a related field. 2+ years of wet lab experience. Extensive familiarity with research methods/protocols. Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving skills. Excel in both written and verbal communication. Preferred Qualifications Experience in AI model evaluation in biological contexts. Familiarity with AI-generated content in scientific research.
