This role combines hands‑on signwriting with daily coordination of the signage production team, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high professional standard. Key Responsibilities – Production & Signwriting Design, produce, and install a wide range of signage including vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, fabricated signs, and large‑format prints. Operate sign‑making equipment such as printers, cutters, laminators, and hand tools. Apply vinyl graphics, decals, and digital prints accurately and efficiently. Conduct site measurements, prepare layouts, and create accurate proofs. Select appropriate materials and ensure finished products meet quality standards. Install signage on vehicles, buildings, and interior/exterior surfaces. Management & Leadership Manage daily operations of the signage department, including workflows, scheduling, and staffing. Supervise and support other junior signwriters, installers, and production staff. Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Review and approve proofs, production files, and job sheets. Monitor inventory and oversee procurement of materials and equipment. Maintain equipment, workshop organisation, and adherence to safety protocols. Resolve production challenges and provide technical guidance. Client & Project Coordination Liaise directly with clients regarding quotes, timelines, design approvals, and project updates. Provide expert advice on materials, installation methods, and design considerations. Ensure final products meet client expectations and company standards. Deliver exceptional customer service and manage client relationships professionally. Skills & Qualifications AQF Certificate IV in a related field or at least three years of proven experience as a Signwriter, with strong hand‑on production and installation skills. Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or management role within the signage industry. Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, vinyl application, and installation techniques. Proficiency in industry design software is desirable, but not necessary (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, RIP software). Excellent organisational and project management abilities. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and with various tools/equipment. Valid driver’s licence (required).
