Job Description - Electrical Trades Assistants / Riggers )# | | || --- | --- || Electrical Trades Assistants / Riggers- UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journey **The Project** UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. ***We are looking for experienced Electrical Trades Assistants and Riggers to join our substations team in early 2026 working in regional NSW. We are building two 500kV substations with roles will based at either our Gugaa or Maragle substations in NSW.*** ***Local employees are highly encouraged to apply. We also offer FIFO/DIDO working on a 19/9 roster. All flights, accommodation and meals provided*** HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. **About you / Key Requirements:** * White Card - essential * Drivers Licence - essential * High Risk Work License - Rigging (Advanced Rigging desirable) * High Risk Work License - Dogman * Work to a high standard and be passionate about what you do * Ability to complete pre employment medical * Previous experience working on substation projects - highly advantageous We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
