Senior Software Engineer (Infra) - remote across ANZ Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. Where And How You Can Work Remote across ANZ. What You’d Be Doing In This Role Own challenging infrastructure problems end‑to‑end, designing and building practical solutions that improve reliability, developer velocity and autonomy. Design scalable, maintainable services and contribute to technical proposals and decision records that set us up for long‑term success. Contribute to the roadmap for our Provisioning team, highlighting opportunities, validating approaches and keeping our platform solutions current with cloud best practices. Help infrastructure teams deliver secure, resilient systems in a complex, distributed environment—removing blockers and amplifying great ideas. You're Probably a Match If 6+ years as a Software Engineer delivering complex, cloud‑based projects with proficiency in Go, Python and/or Java. Strong background in cloud platforms, distributed systems, IaC, PaaS, containerisation (Kubernetes) and public cloud providers (AWS required, GCP a plus). Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills, with a knack for resolving complex technical issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Passion for staying current with the latest cloud and platform‑specific technologies and trends. No‑blame mentality, leading by example and promoting Canva and Engineering values. About The Team The Core Infrastructure Group powers Canva’s design products. We set large, ambitious goals and look for an experienced Engineering Lead to help us deliver the right things at speed and scale.
