Staff Specialist - Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery - CRGH NSW Health is inviting applications for the Staff Specialist – Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery position at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Position Classification: Staff Specialist Requisition ID: REQ Overview SLHD is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery. The primary purpose is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery, with particular focus on hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Department and the Hospital. Responsibilities • Provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery, with a particular focus on hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. • Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery Department and Hospital. • Maintain a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment that supports education, research and professional development. Qualifications • Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award. • Candidates expected to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026 may be considered. Salary and Conditions Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
