Senior Software Engineer, NetSoft Google is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, NetSoft to help develop next‑generation technologies that enable billions of users to connect, explore and interact with information and each other. About the Job Google’s software engineers develop technologies that handle massive scale and extend beyond web search. The role involves working on critical projects for Google’s Global Infrastructure (GGI), with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the fast‑paced business evolves. The engineer will need to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic about tackling full‑stack challenges. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. Experience in developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience in developing accessible technologies. Responsibilities Write and test product or system development code. Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Design, develop, and maintain software systems essential for planning and constructing Google’s Global Infrastructure (GGI). Work on back‑end design and development. Contribute to front‑end development. Focus on languages like Go, SQL, Angular and TypeScript.
