Overview Generation Australia transforms education to employment systems to prepare, place, and support people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. We are seeking a knowledgeable and mission-aligned Generation Australia Instructor to join our team and make a difference in the lives of the populations we support. The Generation Australia Instructor plays a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of Generation Australia’s employment training by providing industry-specific subject matter expertise and facilitation experience. This role will deliver GA participants across the full suite of GA Care Industry programs including Disability Support, Aged Care and Child Care verticals. The aim is to deliver learner-centred training that drives GA participants’ employment outcomes. What you’ll do Instruction: Deliver all sessions across our Care programs’ suite; programs are 4 to 5 weeks in duration and run throughout the year Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and accommodate different learning styles to engage participants in active thinking and participatory learning Encourage an inclusive and professional culture and community among a diverse group of participants Draw from your subject matter expertise to bring sessions to life and set professional expectations to support participant employment success Coaching & Development Leading to Participant Success: Engage with GA’s Instructional Coach for regular online classroom observations, partake in constructive discussions on pedagogical best practice and engage with data-driven feedback as a driver for professional growth goals linked to learner employability outcomes Regularly reflect and correlate learner output with levels of employability preparedness and readiness as outlined in the learner performance rubric Participate in instructional coaching workshops, refresher training, and one-to-one and group coaching sessions utilising relevant employability readiness rubrics supporting learner technical upskilling and employment goals multimodally Cross-Functional Support & Data Management: Report to the Instructional Delivery Manager (IDM) on the full portfolio of Care cohorts and their progress Liaise between the learner and GA function teams (employment teams, program journey leads and curriculum teams) to help ensure course completion, learning outcomes and job readiness targets are met Participate in the review of each cohort’s learner survey data and provide feedback on cohort/learner behaviours to help shape support plans in each cohort via Instruction initiatives with the Instructional Coach Support the Learner Recruitment team with the learner recruitment process in accepting the right fit candidate for GA programs using your industry subject matter expertise Support the Learner Placement team in employment support and alumni spaces with industry-specific interview coaching alongside the Instructional Coach; provide character referral requests and facilitate employability skills sessions specifically targeted at preparing learners for technical interviews Support the Product team in maintaining curriculum content and program quality through participation in continual improvement practices, end-of-program reviews, and contributing insights based on current Care Industry best practice and participant behaviour to ensure content aligns with industry needs and Generation’s methodology What you’ll bring Minimum Requirements: Care industry experience, preferably in Disability Support, Aged and Child Care roles 3+ years of teaching/training experience, ideally with adult learners and in online environments Knowledge of current trends in adult and vocational education, skills training, and online learning Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspaces, and platforms such as Teams and Canvas, with Slack as a valuable add Experience delivering to neurodivergent, CALD, First Nations and young adults from low-income or minority communities Strong track record of high student satisfaction rates achieved through NPS or other feedback mechanisms Strongly Preferred: Care industry certifications, preferably in Disability Support, Aged and Child Care fields Experience working remotely in dynamic, fast-paced environments, ideally in the not-for-profit or start-up sector with demonstrated adaptability to changing environments Experience delivering online training to neurodivergent, CALD, First Nations and young adults from low-income or minority communities Why join us Work on and be a driving force for a rapidly scaling organisation in an innovative environment Contribute to an important social mission in Australia, improving education and employment opportunities Join an organisation that will challenge you and invest in your professional development on an ongoing basis Be part of an organisation with a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion A highly competitive Employee Benefits Package that includes salary-packaging Flexible working arrangements that you choose when and how you work Work From Home support including workplace health and safety assessment by a qualified physiotherapist Flexible leave including 15 days Wellbeing Leave per year Paid Parental Leave An annual Professional Development Allowance to spend on developing your skills About Generation Worldwide, more than 75 million young people are unemployed.
