Lumen Christi College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic First Nations Education Assistant to join our Diversity Education Learning Area. The First Nations Education Assistant will display expertise in working with First Nations students, possessing enthusiasm, innovation and a commitment to the shared Vision of the College. Position Description This is a full time, ongoing position commencing 1 January 2026. Selection Criteria The successful candidate will: Be of First Nations background Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties as a member of the Lumen Christi College community Have completed, or be willing to complete, Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School Display a commitment to support the Catholicity of the school, through a manner of life and stated beliefs which are in keeping with the teachings of the Catholic Church. The successful candidate will have: Have qualifications as appropriate to the position or currently be studying to achieve such qualifications. (Tertiary qualification and/or relevant TAFE Certificate IV qualification) Have experience in the role of First Nations Education Assistant within a school environment Be self-motivated with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring First Nations students to excel on their educational journey Have demonstrated knowledge of First Nations educational programs and a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations people.
