About the team The Mobile Apps Team specialises in Android and iOS application development and is responsible for developing and improving the Service NSW mobile apps and digital licences within the apps. What you’ll do Build and improve digital products that scale to millions. Apply modern engineering practices like TDD, pair programming, and CI/CD. Apply systems thinking and contribute to technical design – experience designing solutions in large or complex ecosystems is welcomed. Participate in agile ceremonies, retros, and engineering community events. Continuously learn through hackathons, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and our onboarding academy. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers. What makes this role exciting Structured onboarding academy to help you hit the ground running. What we’re looking for Proficient in mobile application development with a working knowledge of mobile application design and development. Mobile front‑end development skills, with knowledge of React Native, Android and/or iOS tech stacks. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerised infrastructure. Embrace XP practices and are open to learning and contributing to a strong engineering culture. Communicate well, enjoy working in product teams, and care about the end‑to‑end customer journey. Interest in technical leadership, architecture, or growing into people‑leadership roles. Eligibility for NSW public sector Be NSW residents or in the process of relocating to NSW. Hold appropriate working rights: ongoing (permanent) roles require Australian citizenship or permanent residency; temporary roles require valid work rights for the full duration of the role.
