About the Role Location Options : CANBERRA | SYDNEY | MELBOURNE | All Onsite Clearance : NV1 Minimum Contract Term : 12 months with 2 × 12 month extension options Our Commonwealth Government client seeks an experienced Security Systems Engineer to support the Government Uplift Cyber Security Remediation Program (CURP). This role is ideal for a highly organised, dynamic, and outcome‑driven professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working as a trusted technical advisor to government stakeholders. As a subject‑matter expert (SME), you will deliver specialist security engineering advice and implement security controls across a diverse range of Australian Government systems, contributing directly to strengthening Australia’s national cyber security posture. The Senior Security Systems Engineer will work across multiple external Australian Government entities, providing expert advice, design, implementation, and remediation of security controls across systems. Key Responsibilities Providing specialist security engineering advice and implementing security controls across complex environments Designing, implementing, and remediating security solutions across multiple technologies Developing high‑quality technical documentation (e.g. SOPs, RFCs, design documentation, as‑built/as‑configured artefacts) Facilitating and participating in security engineering workshops and remediation activities Developing and testing prototype security configurations to inform guidance and recommendations Implementing security controls in line with the client’s internal Information Security Manual (ISM) , Essential Eight , and other recognised cyber security frameworks Required Skills Security Engineering Cyber Security Controls Implementation Microsoft Active Directory Windows Enterprise Environments Networking & Infrastructure Security Software‑Defined Networking Cross Domain Solutions / Diodes SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, GCP) Technical Documentation Stakeholder Engagement Workshop Facilitation Leadership & Task Direction How to Apply Send your CV through or contact us for more information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
