Professional Support Lawyer, Youth Crime Victoria Legal Aid location_pin Melbourne, VIC home_work Hybrid Posted 1 day ago Full time ongoing position (part time considered) Salary range: $113,668 - $131,153 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model About the role In this unique and exciting role you play a pivotal part in supporting the Youth Crime program. You will provide lawyers with strategic case advice, training, up to date practice resources, legislative, case law and policy updates, and support accredited specialisation processes. You will also contribute to policy, system reform, law reform and legal service delivery initiatives. This role will also involve collaboration with Professional Support Lawyers for Child Protection and Criminal Law. This role can be based at any of our VLA offices. About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Extensive knowledge and experience in youth crime in Victoria. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and build collaborate relationships with internal and external stakeholders. High level research and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesise and present complex information succinctly. A current unrestricted Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory). Don't meet every requirement?
