Position Overview Epworth Freemasons has an amazing opportunity to join our wonderful team on a permanent full-time basis as Senior Head Theatre Technician Grade 5. Join our dynamic team that is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience with a focus on safety first. You will be in charge of the shift & will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service and optimal patient care. You will also work closely with the Theatre Utilisation Manager to help foster and grow new and existing technicians. Key Responsibilities You will make an impact by : Developing and implementing the Technician teams roster. Optimising staff skill mix to ensure the provision of timely safe high quality patient care and also simultaneously enables training requirements of staff to be met. Management and Coordination of Equipment Servicing. Positive role model to all levels of staff in terms of commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care. Demonstrated ability to lead assist and support organisational change. Your expertise and attention detail will help create a safe and effective working environment for the patients and team members. Team Player Qualifications & Requirements To be successful in this role : We are looking for someone who is a good communicator with a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. You should be professional in your work have a strong attention to detail and be quick to learn and adapt. Completed a Certificate IV Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Support) Minimum 4 years clinical experience as a Theatre Technician Dedicated to coaching and developing theatre technicians Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Effectively manage high-performing teams and foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Additional Information : Salary package up to $15900 pre‑tax annually leading to greater take home pay The largest educational scholarship program of its kind in Australia Ability to purchase up to four additional weeks of leave Reduced cost of health services for you and your family at Epworth Relocation assistance is available for approved candidates About Epworth Freemasons Epworth Freemasons consists of two sites. The Main Hospital is on Albert Street East Melbourne has a total of 12 operating theatres. The Victoria Parade site is just across the road and consists of an additional 6 theatres including our Maternity wards. Freemasons primary specialities include: Orthopaedics, Gynaecology / IVF, Urology, General Plastics ENT Maxfax Ophthalmology and Endoscopy.
