Practice Information The Bluewater Medical Practice is a private practice, owned by the practice principal, teaching practice established 1996. There are currently 9 FT/PT GPs, some of them privately bill all of their patients, some GPs fully bulk bill. There is absolute freedom in your billing or practice style and working hours. Practice has Pathology, Pharmacy, Allied health practitioners and sessions by Cardiologist and Surgeon. Operating theatre for procedures in local anaesthetic only. Team of experienced nurses cover all opening hours. Located in the fast growing Northern Beaches suburb of Townsville. Townsville has a population of approximately 180,000, is called Capital of North Queensland. James Cook University has a Medical School. There are excellent private and public schools. Employment opportunities for GP partners are excellent. Townsville has all the advantages of capital city but a bonus of the affordable accommodation and relaxed holiday like lifestyle. Position Description Long term position, FT/PT GP for established, busy practice. Excellent remuneration to the right candidate: for Non‑VR 60% increasing % for those with FRACGP. Absolute flexibility, 12 month contract with an annual review. Non‑corporate. Full time or part time General Practitioners needed. NO obstetrics or anaesthetic skills necessary, but special skills or interests are welcome. High percentage of earnings. Structured teaching program for OTD’s preparing for FRACGP is provided by practice principal. Teaching practice with allied health support, needs preferably FRACGP GP but overseas GP welcomed. Principal will provide supervision and preparation for college exam. Using Best Practice. NO after hours, obstetrics or anaesthetics, but special skills welcomed, especially in skin surgery. Our practice services Northern Beaches suburbs of Townsville and farming community between Townsville and Ingham. After Hours All After Hours services are provided by practice Principal.
