About the Opportunity This permanent full‑time position will work within a dedicated interdisciplinary team primarily based at Gosford Community Health Centre, located in the Gateway Centre, Gosford. From time to time, the position will also work from other CCLHD Community Health Facilities. Responsibilities Deliver social work services to children and their families, aiming to achieve optimal health outcomes. Conduct psycho‑social assessments. Provide therapeutic social work counselling services to support children, parents and families in fostering healthy and secure relationships and improving overall family functioning. Engage in case coordination, individual and family counselling/therapy, group work. Facilitate referrals to partner services that meet the families' identified needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues and senior managers within CCLHD Child and Family Health service and actively contribute to service development and evaluation. Provide education to staff and students. About You Hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work, eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a demonstrated understanding of the current AASW Practice Standards as they relate to the Social Worker Level 1/2 – Child and Family Health position. Have a strong interest in advancing therapeutic counselling skills, working collaboratively with parents and families through brief or longer‑term individual, family interventions, and group work. Understand psycho‑social and attachment issues relevant to child development. Have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.
