Koala Farmland Fund and Upscale Carbon as part of the wider Upscale Funds Management Group is seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in our Toowoomba office. As our Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing organisation in the funds management industry. The role will be responsible for two of our brands – Koala Farmland Fund, and Upscale Carbon. What you'll be doing Preparation of actual and projected cash flows BAS review, preparation & lodgement End of period reporting adjustments (ie, depreciation, revenue in advance, etc) Calculation and control over inter‑entity calculations, invoicing, and adjustments Prepare entities for Financial Statement and audit process (including full set of workpapers to ensure timely turnaround). Ownership of the process and liaison with external stakeholders to ensure key deadlines are met as well as review of final documents. Preparation of investors annual tax statements Preparation of financial material such as AGM presentations and financial graphs Ongoing collaboration and partnership with Directors or senior management Short and Long term Cashflow modelling Debtor Management Strategy modelling and scenario testing. Provide analysis on the performance of existing projects or project viability assessments as potential investment opportunities arise. There is an established framework and workpapers to achieve this, but requires the ability to problem solve and to evolve with new scenarios.
