The position is primarily responsible for providing security presence at the University and to provide excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors. Your duties will be, and not limited to : Conduct foot patrols of campuses - outdoors and indoors Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required Direct and help visitors and public to navigate around the campus Write reports in response to incidents Communicate calmly and clearly with key stakeholders Visitors sign in / induction and maintain key registers and issue key passes About you These roles are being offered on a rotating roster across multiple sites within the Sydney region. You also have a choice of working on a 4 on 4 off roster. We are looking for : Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate Current NSW Security licence Dedication, reliability, and a commitment to security Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with approachability High level computer literacy skills The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment Australian Citizenship for candidates wanting to work within Government Security (due to clearance requirements) Master Licence Number : If you are interested in joining the security industry but do not hold a qualification or licence, please take the time to consider our Scholarship Program.
