Get to know the role : Join a national transport company Border Express have a fantastic opportunity available for a trade qualified Diesel Mechanic to join the skilled and efficient workshop team at our Albury branch. Under the direction of the Workshop Supervisor, the position will be responsible for service, maintenance and repair. Duties : Maintenance and repairs of the company fleet, trailers, and equipment. Fabrication and welding. Fault finding, troubleshooting and diagnostics. Skills and Experience : HR Truck Licence preferred. A qualified car mechanic with some heavy vehicle experience or willingness to take this on may also be considered. Experience in both truck and trailer repairs and preventative maintenance. Knowledge of relevant truck and trailer repair and service requirements. Experience in the use of air and electrical hand tools, lathes, grinders and diagnostic equipment. Understanding the capabilities and operations of various vehicles. Ability to manage time and meet priorities established for allocated work. Good verbal and written communication skills.
