Banking Consultant, Newstead QLD Department: AR Branch Network | Division: Australia Retail | Location: Newstead. About the Role As a Banking Consultant in Retail Banking, you will deliver a seamless banking experience by meeting customers’ end‑to‑end financial needs, conducting needs‑based conversations, and educating them on available digital solutions. You will complete transactions and fulfill product requirements per your accreditation level. Based mainly in branches, you will provide high‑standard customer service, act as a role model, and coach peers in a collaborative team. Role Location 2 / 3 Breakfast Creek Road, Newstead Qld Role Type Permanent, Part‑Time Work Schedule Monday: 08:30 AM – 02:00 PM (5.5 hours) Tuesday: 08:30 AM – 02:00 PM (5.5 hours) Wednesday: 08:30 AM – 02:00 PM (5.5 hours) Thursday: 08:30 AM – 02:00 PM (5.5 hours) Friday: 08:30 AM – 02:00 PM (5.5 hours) Saturday: Not Rostered Sunday: Not Rostered What will your day look like? Provide customers with a seamless branch experience across transaction activities and needs‑based conversations. Act as a role model and peer coach within a collaborative team. Contribute to significant uplift in customer engagement, advocacy, and real customer value. Participate in and support bank programs and initiatives. Know your customer from a risk perspective and ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies. What will you bring? Exceptional customer focus (retail experience an advantage). Experience promoting and using technology; working knowledge of digital channels is an advantage. Ability to multi‑task and adapt to change and ambiguity. Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment. Sound understanding of compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are not expected to have 100% of these skills.
