The Opportunity An opportunity now exists for an accomplished General Manager to take operational and strategic leadership of the organisation. Reporting directly to the business owners, this role will drive performance, efficiency, and future growth while preserving the company’s family values and reputation for excellence. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, financial performance, workforce leadership, and customer service delivery. You will provide both strategic direction and day‑to‑day operational oversight, ensuring the business continues to thrive in a competitive and regulated industry. Key Responsibilities Lead, develop, and inspire a workforce of 50+ employees across operations, administration, and field services. Oversee end‑to‑end towing and logistics operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Develop and implement business strategies, budgets, and performance metrics. Manage financial outcomes, operational costs, and profitability targets. Drive continuous improvement and innovation across systems, fleet management, and service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, insurers, and regulatory authorities. Champion workplace safety, compliance, and professional standards at all levels. About You You are a proven senior leader with a strong operational background in transport, logistics, or a related service industry. You bring commercial acumen, resilience, and a leadership style that motivates teams to deliver at a high standard. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an executive or general management position. Demonstrated success in operational and financial management within transport, logistics, or field service environments. Strong leadership and people management capability. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making. Experience within the towing or recovery sector. Formal qualifications in business management, transport, or logistics.
