This comprehensive program provides a unique opportunity to develop specialised skills and knowledge in the perioperative environment. Courses through ACORN Fundamentals of Perioperative Nursing Fundamentals of Anaesthetic Nursing Completion of Advanced Life Support for adults and paediatrics at the end of the program Study Days 10-12 paid study days to complete the ACORN courses Resources A comprehensive resource manual with activities to enhance your development Rotation Plan Develop capabilities to work in each area of perioperative services, including: Instrument and Circulating Nursing Post Anaesthetic Care Nursing Day Surgery Unit (DSU) Anaesthetic Nursing Appointment of a mentor to guide and support you throughout the program This program is an excellent opportunity for Registered Nurses to gain in-depth training and experience in perioperative nursing at Colac Area Health.
