As our CFO Advisory & Business Advisory division continues to expand rapidly , we are seeking a capable Senior / Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an ambitious professional who enjoys combining technical accounting with strategic advisory work, and who wants a long-term career pathway within a forward-thinking and rapidly advancing firm. The Opportunity You will work closely with senior advisors and partners to deliver high-quality management reporting, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis, and strategic business advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. The role offers strong professional growth, exposure to complex engagements, and opportunities to step into senior responsibilities as the division scales. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports, KPI dashboards, cash-flow forecasts, and financial performance reviews. Develop financial models for budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic planning. Support Virtual CFO engagements, including pricing analysis, cost optimisation, financial controls, and operational improvement initiatives. Assist with business advisory engagements such as restructuring, business improvement, strategic financial reviews, and performance analysis. Contribute to transaction advisory work including due diligence, valuations, and business assessments (where relevant). Manage client relationships professionally, providing clear, proactive insights and recommendations. Support workflow planning, ensure quality control, and (for senior-track candidates) review work prepared by junior staff. Work collaboratively across teams as we continue to expand our advisory capabilities. About You We are looking for a well-rounded, commercially minded individual with strong analytical capability and a genuine interest in business advisory. Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline CA/CPA qualified or actively progressing 3–5+ years’ experience in public practice (business advisory, management accounting, or virtual CFO experience highly regarded) Strong technical ability in financial analysis, budgeting, management reporting, forecasting, and analytical modelling High level of accuracy, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret financial information commercially Excellent communication and client engagement skills Proficiency with cloud accounting systems (Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and client deliverables in a timely and professional manner Highly Regarded: Experience in business valuations, restructuring, or due diligence Prior exposure to SMEs, start-ups, and multi-entity or cross-border client groups Visa Sponsorship AMA is experiencing strong growth, particularly within the Advisory division.
