The teacher will inspire students, support co‑curricular productions, and model Christian values in all interactions. Accountability & Reporting Lines This position reports directly to the Dean of Faculty, Director of Studies, Head of Senior School, and ultimately to the Principal. Occupational Requirements & Qualifications Current QCT Registration Meet the requirements of the QCT and AITSL Standards Experience teaching Drama and Media in a Senior School setting Personal Attributes Every College employee must demonstrate personal faith, commitment to Jesus Christ, and regular involvement with a local Christian Church. Traditional Christian values should be lived daily. The Successful Applicant Must Be a regular attendee of a local Christian church Be willing and committed to the organisation's mission and vision Be committed to the role and fully understand the desired outcomes Have a passion for teaching and supporting young people Be collaborative, flexible, and creative in work Build positive relationships and contribute to a supportive school culture Be a reflective practitioner, committed to ongoing learning and improvement, and open to constructive feedback Skills & Competencies Proven experience teaching Drama and Media Arts at a senior school level Understanding of Christian Education philosophy and ability to apply it in the classroom Strong communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills Understanding of current educational trends Ability to plan and evaluate engaging, sequential teaching programs for diverse learners Ability to maintain consistent classroom management and support students with learning difficulties Commitment to the Christian ethos, values and mission of the College Competency in Microsoft Office and willingness to use other common education technology Desirable Proficiency with media production technology (video editing, audio recording, lighting, sound) Experience directing school productions or facilitating media‑based projects Experience in Christian education settings Duties And Responsibilities Teaching and Learning Plan, prepare and deliver learning programs in Drama and Media Arts Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment Use diverse teaching strategies, technologies, and assessment tools Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents Integrate Christian worldview principles into teaching where appropriate Pastoral Care Provide oversight and care for student wellbeing, recognising individual needs Build rapport and foster a supportive learning environment aligned with the College’s pastoral care framework Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about student wellbeing or learning needs Curriculum and Assessment Develop and review unit plans, assessment tasks and resources aligned with state curriculum standards Maintain accurate assessment records for parent reporting Establish and carry out assessment and reporting procedures, including QCAA submissions Participate in moderation, evaluation and improvement of teaching programs Development – Professional And Other Engage in ongoing professional learning in Drama, Media Arts, pedagogy and Christian education Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and achieve faculty goals Participate in required staff meetings, training and compliance activities Comply with College policies and QCT/AITSL Professional Standards Commit to ongoing personal growth and IT development through provided or self‑initiated courses Co‑Curricular and College Involvement Attend in‑service courses and out‑of‑hours school functions as required Support or lead school productions, performances, media projects or Arts events Contribute to broader school initiatives, events, camps, excursions, worship services and community activities Build positive relationships within the school community and model Christian values in all interactions Other Responsibilities Attend Principal’s briefings and conduct Parent/Teacher Meetings and interviews Maintain confidentiality of school matters Adhere to child‑protection policy, work health & safety and other college policies Perform all other reasonable duties as directed from time to time Desired Skills And Experience Selection Criteria Outline your experience teaching Media and Drama in a Senior School setting Provide a statement of ways you might see Christianity incorporated into daily routines and experiences Outline your capacity to work collaboratively and contribute to a high‑performing Arts faculty in curriculum and extra‑curricular duties Application close date: 5:00 pm 8th January, 2026. #J-18808-Ljbffr
