The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the mathematics curriculum while creating a nurturing and order learning environment for their students. We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by : Creating a learner-centred supportive and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies. Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress. Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education. Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement. Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes. Collaborating with school leadership staff and contribute to school life. Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities. Possess well developed verbal and written communication skills. The desire to engage with and contribute to a Catholic learning organisation. Experience and proven record in effective classroom learning and teaching. Advanced understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices. A proven ability to differentiate the learning to meet the needs of all students. A proven capacity to facilitate the integration of ICT in contemporary learning practices. A capacity to work collegially and collaborate within a diverse team. Excellent communication and organisational skills punctuality and adaptability. Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school including coaching sporting teams and attending school camps and retreats as required. The ability to develop positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect patience and understanding. Characteristics that provide a positive role model to students at the school both in their professional and personal life. Capacity to create safe and supportive learning environments for students.
